शिष्य जिज्ञासावश पूछते हैं- क्या उपरोक्त से अलग भी कुछ अन्य उपाय हैं जिनसे शीघ्र समाधि की प्राप्ति होती हो?
तब महर्षि पतंजलि कहते हैं- ईश्वर प्रणिधान से भी शीघ्र समाधि की प्राप्ति होती है| आईये पहले सूत्र का अर्थ समझते हैं |
“ अपने को सब प्रकार से ईश्वर के अधीन समझकर, स्वयं को ईश्वर-समर्पित करके,निमित्त बनकर फलाकांक्षा से पूर्ण रूप से मुक्त होकर, मन वचन और कर्म से सबकुछ ईश्वर की ही पूजा, अर्चना और उपासना कर रहा हूँ ऐसा उदात्त भाव ईश्वर प्रणिधान कहलाता है और यह शीघ्र समाधि लाभ देने वाला है ”
ईश्वर प्रणिधान सर्वोच्च भक्ति है | यह सर्वोच्च समर्पण है अपने ईष्ट के प्रति |ईश्वर प्रणिधान अकेला ऐसा भाव है जो जो मनुष्य के सारे अभाव दूर कर सकता है | जीवन की उलझनें हों या मन की मलिनता, चिंता, तनाव, भय, अपराधबोध, ग्लानि, सबकुछ एक भाव से ही समाप्त हो जाता है लेकिन इस भाव में प्रतिष्ठित होने के लिए सबसे बड़े साहस अर्थात ईश्वर पर पूर्णरूपेण आश्रित होना पड़ता है और यही सर्वोच्च साहस फिर साधक की रक्षा करता है |
ईश्वर प्रणिधान, एक शुद्धतम साधना पद्धति है, जिसमें कुछ भी लाग लपेट नहीं, जो हमारा स्वभाव मात्र है | यदि सहजता का कोई उद्गम स्थान माना जाय तो वह ईश्वर प्रणिधान ही होगी क्योंकि इसी भाव से सारी सहजता, सरलता, निर्भयता और स्वतंत्रता आती है | साधना के मार्ग पर ईश्वर प्रणिधान का यह पड़ाव अवश्य आता है |
ईश्वर प्रणिधान आश्रय में जीने की कला है जो व्यक्ति को सारी चिंताओं से, अज्ञात के भय से, घबराहट और उलझाव से बचाती है | धन्य हो जाता है जीवन जो ईश्वर प्रणिधान साधना के आधार पर जीना आरंभ कर देता है ।
The disciples out of curiosity want to know if there is any other way, other than the above mentioned, for quicker attainment of Samadhi.
To this Maharshi says – Samadhi can also be attained faster by complete surrender to Ishwar. Let us now understand the meaning of first Sutra.
“By all means surrendering oneself in the service of God, in complete devotion to God, totally free from the desire of fruit, whole hearted worship of God in word and action is called Ishwar pranidhan and that helps in attainment of Samadhi faster.”
Ishwar pranidhan/ complete surrender to God is the supreme devotion and highest sacrifice. It is extraordinary devotion to God and is the only way to remove all kinds of scarcity. Whether it is confusions in life or filthiness of heart, worries, stress, fear, guilt feeling or remorse – everything can be overcome by this one feeling. But to reach this position the greatest courage is required which is complete dependence on God. And this greatest courage can then protect the meditator.
Ishwar Pranidhan/surrender is the purest system of devotion without any propensity. It is mere human nature. The origin of nature is from surrender to God because it brings in simplicity, fearlessness and independence. Surrender to God is a definite temporary camping on the path of devotion.
Ishwar pranidhan is an art of living under refuge which saves man from all the worries, fear of the unknown, nervousness and confusion. Blessed is the life that is completely surrendered to God /Ishwar pranidhan Sadhana.
सूत्र: ईश्वरप्रणिधानाद्वा
पुनः जिज्ञासा शिष्यों की सुनकर
देते उत्तर कुछ उपाय सोचकर
महर्षि ईश्वर प्रणिधान की विधि बतलाते
सुंदर, सहज और सरल विश्वास दिलाते
जब मन, कर्म वचन से शरणागत होते
मन में गहरे विश्वास का बीज हम बोते
निमित्त मात्र हम बन जाएं
निष्काम कर्म के ढेर लगाएं
यह शरणागति ईश्वर प्रणिधान कहलाती
साधक को समाधि लाभ कराती
